Become a Paid Blogger for Examiner.com

Not a rewards program, but still a way to earn online: Last week I applied, and was accepted, to be a paid blogger at Examiner.com. They don't call them "paid bloggers" but rather "Examiners," and they are paid based on a variety of factors including the number of page views for their articles and the quality of their work (as gauged by the number of their subscribers, the length of their page visits, etc.). They're looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable people in a huge variety of subject areas including shopping, budget (what I applied for), family, computers, fitness, cars, and pretty much everything else under the sun.

Applying isn't something you can do in one or two minutes. They have a screening process that requires you to give your background, suggested topics for posts, and a writing sample. I probably spent 15 or 20 minutes writing up my application. They indicated that it could be a few weeks before a decision was made due to the volume of new applicants, although they accepted mine in a couple of days.

Examiners are paid by PayPal, on the 20th of the month after their accumulated earnings are $25+.
