Kool-Aid to Eliminate Kool Points Program
First Betty Crocker points are discontinued, and now this? (sigh) It's a sad year in the loyalty program biz.
Kraft Foods has a note on their website saying, "Use your KOOL-AID points for great KOOL-AID items. But don't delay, because these items are only available while supplies last or until June 30, 2007, when the Kool Points program ends."
Some would say this program has been dying a slow death for years, with the items available for points redemption getting fewer and have required a greater amount of cash in addition to the points. I've had members posting complaints on my review of Kool-Aid Points since 2004.
Kraft says to call 1-800-367-9225 for more information on this, or to contact them here.
Thanks to Cathie for the heads-up on this.

I've been trying to get catalogs or whatever else kool-aid has to offer and i haven't been able to experience the cool stuff that you had. Please don't let kool-aid die!!!!!!1

My kids have been saving their Kool-Aid points for a long time in hopes that something worth sending off for like the super balls, would become available, and now that we have saved over 200 points, and try to go onto the website,, we find this out!!! My five year old actually started to cry!! SOOOOOO sad--Tell the Kool-Aid Man that he is no longer cheered at when we see one of his commercials. They have even lost interest in Kool-Aid itself. My son actually picked water over Kool-aid yesterday!! Imagine my surprise. I have been drinking Kool-Aid ever since I can remember. Maybe I'll keep the points for a while in hopes that points will be available again, or at least until we can get a catalog to redeem our points, if possible. Thanks--disappointed 4

Why, if they have discontinued the points program in 2007 are they still selling the packages with points on them.
Date: May 7, 2008 12:42 PM
i have over 3000 points and like you have been saving to buy something good but things are not in the catalog
Date: May 8, 2008 10:38 AM
My kids and my Grandson have saved points all their life. We have 28 years worth of points. This is disappointing.
Date: May 9, 2008 8:41 PM
My brother and I have been trying out hardest to get points. We have like 200 now and we can't even get something. That is really dumb. Please bring them back! I am begging you............. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! Now I get to go tell my brother. This is going to be a very disappointing for him and he is only 5 years old.
Date: May 10, 2008 5:54 AM
I didn't know the kool-aid points was now gone. so all my points is
gone and I will not pay anymore kool-aid.Guess i will try something
else and give up on kool-aid.
Thank You

I cannot believe this! I have saved of 300 Kool Points and now the Kool Point Program is over. I am so mad now. I have been saving these things for 3/4 years now I can't redeem my tickets to get a prize. I wish I can get a catalog to get to redeem these tickets. My little brother whom I have save these tickets for was so upset. I hope this will become available again.
Date: May 11, 2008 1:51 AM
It's fine if they want to discontinue the point's program. But they should allow people cash in what the already have and stop selling packages with points on them
Date: May 13, 2008 8:46 AM
This really is disappointing. Although, I somehow feel free to buy whatever drinks I want for my kids. In the back of my mind I would always think, I should just get koolaid so the kids can collect the points. 300 points later, nothing. Why did I waste all these years? We will be drinking homemade lemonade and fruit juices more often and trying different kinds of mixes. Thank you, Kraft, for liberating me of the desire to buy koolaid!
Date: May 14, 2008 12:27 AM
disappointing i have like 350 that i have had forever and all i really wanted was a watch :( now i guess i'll have to go onto ev=bay to get it
Date: May 14, 2008 4:52 AM
My son and I have been collecting points for over thirty years. I would get kool aid gifts for Christmas gifts for my brothers. And now that they're grown they still talk about the cool shirts I got them and the beach towels and watches. Are you going to bring them back. We sure miss it and have lots of points still that we could use.
Date: May 14, 2008 8:21 AM
I have been saving points for years and have over 4ooo!!! I have asked for catologs constantly and NEVER gotten one and now they say the points are discontinued! That was the best thing about buying kool aid.I have a grandson now and had planned to buy kool aid and save points for him to buy cool little things. Why now! They need to bring the points back!
Date: May 15, 2008 11:10 AM
Why don't you send your feeling to Kraft. I'm sure they probably won't reintroduce the program, but as a consumer, I think it is our responsibility to give them some feedback. Here's a link. I hope it works.

My children have been saving their points for a long time. Now we have over three thousands points and nothing to da with them. Kool aid has become a joke.
Date: May 17, 2008 2:27 PM
To get a catalog from Kraft call 1-800-367-9225 and they will send you one and also you can talk to someone there and tell them how you feel about the points being canceled, My friends and family have called several times every day and every week and maybe it will help and maybe it wont but they will get the message sometime.
Date: May 19, 2008 7:05 AM
I had my Kool-Aid order form printed and fill out to redeem my points. I don't have an address to mail it to. Is is too late to order these items.
Thank you,
Date: May 19, 2008 5:04 PM
hello
PLEASE start the points again. I've been saving just to get the pitcher and glass set. PRETTY PLEASE
Date: May 20, 2008 1:36 PM
I have 3 children that have been looking forward to having match Kool-Aid shirts. Now that we have 1025 points I wanted to see how many more points we needed, but the points are gone. When I buy Kool-Aid I look for the points. Telling bad news to one child is hard to deal with; now I have got to tell THREE!
Kool-Aid,
You should stop selling things with points, give people a chance to redeam what points they have, OR BRING THE REWARD POINTS BACK.
Three broken hearted children
Date: May 21, 2008 3:02 AM
oh my gosh i can't believe that i can't use the points that my girls and i have saved since they have been little. we have been wanting to get something really good and saved lots of points. i can't believe it. why would they keep putting points on packages then? i think the points rewards should be brought back. i also think we should be able to redeem what we have saved so long for and get something. so, so sad!
Date: May 21, 2008 2:54 PM
this really is a very sad day for the kraft foods co. i cant believe they would cancel the kool aid points program my kids are very disappointed as am i. there should have been more of a notice. this is an outrage i will not be buying kool aid any longer. twenty eight years of drinking one of my favorite refreshments i am extremely disappointed
Date: May 21, 2008 3:21 PM
what a cruel trick to play on a Nana. My grandchildren thought Nana was cool because she taught them to save points for prizes and some knucklehead decided that since it didn't increase his paycheck to keep the program running he decided he would just screw over little kids. Nice going hot shot!
Date: May 21, 2008 4:47 PM
Yeah, I'm a dedicated fan of kool-aid. I have probably 1000 points now. always saving for something big. I have 4 children that loved it whenever mom go kool stuff. Wishing and hoping for a come back. Be KOOL.
Date: May 23, 2008 11:22 AM
This is the saddest thing, I have saved point for my kids and now my grandkids, bring back the points and the prizes or expect people to quit buying your product, after all your not the only game in town. Kids like things they can work towards, its fun for them. You take the fun out of life for kids, what kind of business are you running?????
Date: May 23, 2008 11:50 AM
My kids have been saving points for years and years. They have thousands. Now that they have enough to get the big stuff they can't get any thing. Please bring back the points.
Date: May 24, 2008 10:05 AM
I have over 3,000 points, my daughter thinks kool aid man is great. Now what do I tell her when she can't get anything. Why do you still have points on the containers? Can't you make everyone happy and bring back the products!! Why do you take something away that makes people happy? I don't get it.
Date: May 24, 2008 6:01 PM
Please listen to your customers...I can't imagine a better marketing gimick.....get people to buy your brand to collect points to obtain products with your logo.....free advertising or what!!!!
There is a lot of competition out there that may be cheaper, why should we stay loyal to a company that has abandoned us? I know that I am going to try other products as there is no incentive to stay with Kool-aid. I will hang on to my points untill you come to your senses.
Date: May 25, 2008 5:09 AM
Bring back the STUFF! PLEASE! give those of us who didnt know where to redeem the points another chance. My kids have been waiting patiently for me to gather enough points as to be fair when come time to redeem for COOL STUFF! I have five kids and lots of points! now you tell us they are just to be thrown away? You should bring it back at least untill there are nolonger points on packages. these are giveing our kids false hope cause they are still collecting! Kool Aid ROCKS!
Date: May 25, 2008 4:10 PM
I have a lot of points collected - years ago they were for my children, now they are for my grandchildren. My daughter had gotten a Barbie doll once with some points and my grand-daughter has checked many times to see if Kool-aid brought it back so she could order it. So sad there are no Kool-aid products to order any more.
Date: May 26, 2008 2:55 AM
You obviously have alot of dissapointed Moms and their children. So what are you good people at Kraft going to come up with? Shurley you have a Promotional Department, well maybe not. Since your in Mexico how about some Kool-Aid flavored Chicklets for all the LOYAL Kool-Aid Fanatics.
Signed

Date: May 26, 2008 6:21 PM
This makes me sad, me and the rest of my family have been collecting these things since they were born. We have a huge amount of them, i guess there gonna hit the garbage then...
Date: May 27, 2008 4:51 PM
this stinks, my mom has a hundred, now what... jeeze!
Date: May 27, 2008 6:30 PM
I have loved collecting Kool-Aid points since I was a kid. Now my son is collecting them. Don't let the tradition die. Heck I still have a beach towel I got years ago.
Date: May 28, 2008 9:39 AM
Ididn't know you stopped the points. I've gotten cars, barbie dolls cups and many other items for my older children now I have points for my youngest and nothing to get him. I would like a catalog to use them also.
Date: May 28, 2008 12:00 PM
would like a kool aid catalog for cool prizes.
Date: May 28, 2008 6:43 PM
My kids have saved kool-aid points and we didn't know you had stopped redeeming them. We would like a catologe so they can use them.
Date: May 29, 2008 2:59 PM
I can't believe the point system has stopped. I have been saving points since I was a kid and now I save them for my niece and nephews. They love Kool-aid and thought it would be fun for them to collect them and get great stuff, but no not know. This is very upsetting ... what in the world am I supposed to do with all of my points??? Throw them away, that is a waste ... is there any possible way to redeem them??? Like is there still away I can get a catologe and redeem what I have????
Date: May 29, 2008 10:46 PM
I have 141 points sitting here in a plastic baggy. Come on, Kool Aid! Bring back the redemption for your dedicated fans! I have a koolaid beach towel from 15 years or so ago, and my 18 year old son LOVES this towel. I got a red plastic pitcher and mug set a while back and my kids played in the bath tub with this set for YEARS. I'm sure Kraft has all kinds of promotional stuff in their proverbial closet... please let us use these points toward that? Kool Aid Man rocks!
Date: May 30, 2008 11:44 AM
Man,it is so upsetting. I have been saving the points and never could get a catalog for my children. TAKE THE POINTS OFF YOUR PACKAGES AND STOP MISLEADING YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!!
THIS MAKES ME FELL LIKE GIVING WYLER'S THE BUSINESS. AT LEAST THEY HAVE NEVER LIED TO MY KIDS!
Date: May 30, 2008 8:38 PM
I'm so sad to find that i can't redeem my points. I have 3 ziplocks full I was looking to redeem for my grandchildren. I've gotten such fun things for the kids over the years. Its family tradition to "wish list" the koolaid catalog!..Bring back the fun!!!!!!!
Date: May 31, 2008 2:36 AM
I just found out now, this is not good at all we have lots of points piled up in bags and would really like to redeem them so it would be nice if you guys would bring it back for loyal customers, we deserve some catologues at least so we can get something for what we saved for we still buy them and will for as longs as your company supplies them so bring it back!!! sniff sniff.
Date: May 31, 2008 3:35 PM
My family has collected koolaid ponts for 20 years. I can't believe you're stopping them. Well, like some of the others say I am free to buy other brands now that I don't have to worry about points.Koolaid is on sale for .10 a pack and Disney for .05 which one do you think I'll buy?
Date: June 1, 2008 10:25 AM
I think that this is rediculous because my kids and family have three large containers of points ... they should have advertised that you need to cash in the points as this is being discontinued and they would not be valid after ... date ... What were they thinking??? It is one of the favorite drinks and frozen treats we use all year round. Someone should bring it back and phase it out properly for the customers.
Date: June 1, 2008 12:44 PM
I cannot believe that there will be no redemption of Kool-Aid Points!!! I have two very disappointed children! I think that anyone that currently has points should be able to redeem them and you should STOP putting them on Kool-Aid products as this is very decieving.
WITHOUT THE POINTS WE WILL NO LONGER BE DRINKING KOOL-AID, I GUESS WE WILL LOOK AT SOMETHING ELSE!

I AM SO DISAPPOINTED I AM A MOTHER OF 3 AND WE HAVE BEEN SAVING POINTS FROM WHEN MY FIRST CHILD WAS OLD ENOUGH TO DRINK KOOLAID!! I WENT TO REDEEM MY POINTS FOR A PRIZE AND COME TO FIND OUT THE PROGRAM WAS DISCONTINUED:( WE HAVE SAVED OVER 3,000 POINTS OVER THE YEARS NOW WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH ALL THESE POINTS???? I LIKE TO THINK KOOLAID IS A ASSEMBLE OF THE AMERICAN FAMILY AND OU HAVE LET ALL THE KOOLAID BUYER FAMILIES DOWN! PLEASE START THE KOOL POINTS PROGRAM AGAIN! THANK YOU!!
Date: June 4, 2008 9:54 AM
I called Kool-aide today to find out that they did discontinue the point system BUT they did have a few items left over. We have been saving these points for years. I guess we will not have to be loyal to the Kool-aide brand anymore.
Date: June 4, 2008 9:23 PM
KoolAid company should've thought of the kids that are out there. I think they are very inconsiderate for doing this.
Date: June 6, 2008 12:51 AM
I am really disappointed that kraft has stop the kool-aid points have a huge bag full even started saving the ones that don't have points because I've been collecting for 15 years to get alot of stuff. Loved the prizes please bring them back we all seem to have points to redeem.
Date: June 6, 2008 8:57 AM
I like several before me have mentioned, have been saving points for almost 20 years. Now, I have children and want to redeem point for fun and cool prizes, log onto the site only to learn it's been discontinued. Imagine my astonishment and disappointment, I haven't told the children they are not redeemable yet. I am an optimist, I believe the company will restore quality service to it's loyal customers and again offer redeemable points for "kool" prizes for children. There's mnore than enough disappointment in the country today...not the discontinuation of the kool-aid points too!
Date: June 7, 2008 12:12 PM
I was very disappointed also when finding out that you no longer can redeem the kool-aid points. I have been saving them for over 20 years and have a ton of them that I would like to redeem. I never even knew that they had a catalog you could order from. I have not always had access to the internet either. Then finally, one day, I was going online to find out what I could redeem them for only to see that they are no longer doing that. I am a very disappointed kool-aid customer. I would love to see you bring back the points, or at least let us redeem the ones we have!
Date: June 8, 2008 1:41 AM
How sad. I've noticed only recently that points no longer are even available on the packets. I've thousands saved up from the past decade, and now they're completely unusable. Honestly, buying something to save up for little things like that is generally silly, but my family has bought Kool-Aid specifically over other, cheaper brands for the points.
Though I guess that's how marketing works.

well i was so excited when i counted up my points then i got online and no longer can use them. :( needless to say we will not be buying kool-aid anymore because of this, it was an exciting thing to save them up with my boys and get something out of it. It just doesn't happen anymore these days and i though you were the last company that still cared about the customers and kids. Like cereal you used to get the toys in the box now you have to seve 10 box tops and send money for a toy that breaks in a few days anyways, very sad... what you should do is send coupons for kool-aid in exchange for the points people have saved in some cases since we were kids.
Date: June 10, 2008 2:20 PM
just like everyone else. ive been collecting koolaid points for a while. why would you get rid of them. it doesnt make any since. any idea how many consumers buy koolaid just because of the points? i dont think it will take long for them to bring it back. besides, its not like they are actually paying for these products any way. anything that they make themselves doesnt cost them much of anything. they make money off the overpriced shipping and handling charges. very disappointed in koolaid. it was the one company out there that was truly pro-children. i will no longer buy koolaid, back to fruit juice for me. they dont offer points, but they dont claim to and then later take it away, sure my kid will be ok with it as well. dont have the heart to tell him that koolaid is taking the points system away. im gonna have to go and buy something and pretend that i got it from you
Date: June 10, 2008 11:14 PM
Me and my kids were saving points,we have over 600. Then we noticed that WalMart sold Kool-Aid without points. I called your customer service and was told that the rewards program was to continue and to keep saving my points. So I was lied to by this Kool-Aid rep. That was a year ago, and if she would have given me the correct information my kids could have used their points. Now I have 3 very disappointed kids.
Date: June 11, 2008 12:52 PM
I have been saving the kool aid points for years now for something big or now for something for my almost 2 year old boy and soon my new comming son. I wish we could get back on track with the points and prizes. I'm a little disapointed I saved for that long and now I saved for nothing. Please bring back the prizes!!!
Date: June 13, 2008 2:56 AM
Awwwee come onnnn, bring back the program. Even though you can't get a good deal on items anymore, it's still fun to save and redeem the points for "fun/kool" stuff. SOMEBODY listen to us! Bring the Kool-aid program back. I still have stuff i sent away for in the 70's. I'd like my kids to experience Kool-Aid like I once did. This is not good PR for your company. Any good marketing director would be all over this and bring back the program to keep customers and consumers happy as well as creating/bringing back to life a program that all people young and old can participate in. Your company needs to thrive once again. You're doing more harm by not working this out fast enough. I'm looking forward to seeing someone STEP UP and get the program rolling again!!
Date: June 13, 2008 10:48 AM
my kids have saved and saved and they wanted to cash in . And now there is no information to cash there points in!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a shame to go threw all that kool-aid and get no rewards at the end I may as well had purchased flavor-aid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Date: June 15, 2008 9:11 AM
me annd my mom think u should bring back the points cuz me got alot like over 1000 points and u guys r gonna ruin it.watev
Date: June 15, 2008 8:38 PM
I do hope you bring the points back.I have been buying koolaid for over 50 years and now have been saving the points for my grandkids.I'm so upset I want to throw them out but won't because I have high hopes of you bringing them back. Please bring them back. You're disappointing alot of little kids if you don't plus a ton of grandmothers.

I have been saving these points since 1978 for my kids and grandkids an I just found out they are no longer doing the points. This is really sad. My kids (who are now in their 30's ) look forward in shareing this with their kids. I hope that the company restore the reward an point system. I'm gonna hold on to my points until something happen.
Sincerely your,

I like many others have been saving points for approx. 20yrs. Over the past 5 years I have been going online and looking for something decent to use these points for. Unfortunately lately nothing really appealed to my kids. So we continued to save in the hopes that they would bring up something that wasn't so cheesy. Now we find out that they haved cancelled the program. Given the fact that they continue to post points on their products this smacks of fraud.
Date: June 20, 2008 6:46 AM
I agree it's sad, and I too would have liked to redeem my points for prizes, but in the long run it would be better (fiscally) for Kraft to just offer purchasing high quality Kool-Aid products (such as pitcher/glass sets, beach towels etc...) for profit on their website. The number of devoted fans on this website alone says to me that Kraft could in fact turn a negative into a positive experience. I think, if Kraft were to pursue a for-profit venture with the Kool-Aid Man, they should offer all the loyal point collectors a discount so they don't feel ripped off and cheated. And finally, I agree they need to step up to the plate and change the packaging -- it's really cruel to continue a hoax such as this!
Date: June 21, 2008 2:14 PM
As of today (June 21, 2008) on Kool-Aid's website (www.bekool.ca)there is a page for "Get Stuff" and it's to redeem your points. Looks like the program is still running.
Date: June 23, 2008 10:14 AM
The web-site is for Canadian Res. I have 1000's of these points, like everyone else waiting for the large purchase.

Date: July 1, 2008 11:06 PM
I have been saving my points for years. Now to find out that I have to throw them away because you guys discontinued the redemption of Kool Aid points. Its a sad state of affairs! I am truly crushed.
Date: July 3, 2008 3:00 PM
If you go to http://www.comparerewards.com/archives/004517.html you can find out how you can still redeem your points, but it's only while supplies last.

why don t you stop selling packs with points. it is just a disapointment for the kids to see it but not use them. kool-aid company must not have kids. otherwise the program would still be around. very sad.

To whom it may concern; My daughter DeeAndra Robinson and i have been collecting points since she was born. Being a child growing up life was great collecting these points with my mom and the wonderful kool-aid stuff to choose from with your required points. Anyway, i wanted my child to enjoy what was part of my life growing up. P.S we will still collect the points as long as its on the packages of kool-aid products. we hope you change your minds and let the ones who have collected the points to redeem what we can. Kathleen Burke

I have been collecting kool-aid points since i was about 4 yrs old, well i am now 25 and have a few thousands of points...(no joke). I finally thought that now is the time to do something and found out that they are now cancelled. This is a big huge gigantic disapointment for my life. Why even put points on things if you are just going to cancel this stuff out. All this is doing is causing not just disapointment in my life but many childrens lifes out there that picked this up for a hobby when they're parents make kool-aid or they do. Please i beg you please bring them back!!! I don't want to throw all my points away because i have worked too long at accumalating these to just through them away. Please please bring them back!!!!!!
Date: July 5, 2008 3:44 PM
I just graduated from high school. I've been saving points my entire life. I use to yell at people when they threw them away. I make everyone in my family drink Kool-Aid so I can have the points. I have been saving points for years planning to get prizes after graduation so my family will see that all theses years wasn't a waste. and i look up. And what? to my horrible suprise... it was all a huge waste of my time. and i have nothing to show for it except about 50,000 worthless kool-aid points. Im praying I am going to wake up and find out that this was all a horrible dream. PLEASE let me wake up!
Date: July 5, 2008 11:31 PM
My grandparents have saved the points for 15yrs and when all their grandchildren got a bit older so they could all benefit they were going to use them for the family. They have a big tubaware bowl full. What are they going to do???? Don't Stop the points, What would that do to help them? Come on think about it!!!!!
