PCHPoints to Close
PCHPoints.com sent out an email this afternoon stating that they were shutting down the program.
Anyone surprised? Anyone?
Okay, I admit. I AM a little surprised. I thought they'd at least try to make it through the end of the year. This is the Christmas shopping season -- lots of money to be made by shopping portals like theirs...but maybe they wanted the tax write-off they could get by shutting it down by year-end, I don't know.
Anyway... They're allowing users to continue to earn points through 11/30 and redeem until 1/15/06. They've eliminated the 5,000 point Burger King redemption and now the cheapest non-charity redemption is 9,000 points (for various $10 GCs). I'll do some digging and try to find some non-spending point-earning opportunities on the site for those folks needing more points to cash out. Remember to do trivia every day between now and then (that'd be 140 points). (Need help with the answers? Click here.)

Wow--I heard about it through Ginger's list and came here. Me and a few other people haven't received the email yet. Although I didn't doubt it was coming, I just wasn't expecting it this soon :-(

I requested payout immediately but have not received them. You cannot even get into the web site now. Has anyone received payouts from them since the closing announcement?

I received my $10 Applebees GC on Feb 1, 2006 and went to the restaurant on Feb 3. I was told that there was NO value on my card, that it had never been funded. Of course there is no site left where I can complain. Applebees was VERY good about it and actually gave me $5 credit for the card.

To Tony who posted a comment on JAN 25, 2006 about no payment or access to the PCHpoints.com - that's a ditto from me too, Guess everyone will be out of luck getting their last payment request.
