New MyPoints is Online
MyPoints' new site went live today. Looks very different, but it's pretty intuitive and the pages load a lot quicker. Not sure why they needed a separate tab for Great Deals (seems like that oughtta go under Shopping, IMHO).
Go to My Account, My Profile and get 5 points for each of 12 profiles you complete -- and if you complete all 12, you'll get a 40 point bonus (total of 100 points).
While the costs to redeem for a particular GC do not appear to have gone up, the variety of redemptions has gone down. These are no longer available: Webcertificates, Omaha Steaks, Suncoast/OnCue/Sam Goody/Media Play, Olive Garden but Red Lobster, owned by the same people, is still there... maybe the RL GC is good at OG...not sure), Hollywood Video, BDalton, Mrs. Fields, Applebee's, Pizza Hut, and BassPro. I'm sure others are missing, too -- these are just the ones I noticed.
So, what's your take on the new site? Like it, hate it, just need time to get used to it? Leave a comment!

I'm non-plussed over the new site. It doesn't seem to have changed that much for me, except to take away my fav redemption option - webcertificate. I guess I just have to start redeeming for walmart or something!

They've really shrunk the redemption options - three of the options I cared about are gone - Hilton, Marriott, & WebCert. Guess I'll go elsewhere for my shopping.

Is anybody getting any MyPoints 5 points emails like in the past?
Did they quit doing this completely or what?
I started on MyPoints about 5 months ago in the hopes that I could get up to 3000 points for a $25 Barnes & Noble book card. I'm up to about 1700 points.
Maybe I should just get a $10 B&N card, quit, and cut my losses. ( I don't have a lot of money to do internet shopping, and even if I did, MyPoints has crappy rates )

I too was wondering if the e-mails had stopped. Maybe because of the "new look" the e-mails are on a hiatus..... I hope they do bring them back.
On another note, last week I cashed in again because I am one of the few folks that held on to Memolink, just to be disappointed with their "new look". I didn't want the same thing to here. In the past I have had very good luck with getting my gift cards for Home Depot with-in a month from My Points. I hope that doesn't change with the "new look" too.

I wrote to mypoints (memberservices@mypoints.com) and they said webcertificate and others would be back, but they did not give a time frame. Maybe they are re-negotiating the prices they pay for those. Maybe if you guys e-mail, they'll bring it back soon?

Can anyone else get on webcertificate.com? I have $25 there from a point redemption in May and I have been trying about a month now to get in to spend it and I cannot access the site at all from any angle. Just curious if others are having this problem...if so...what a ripoff!! I tried writing to mypoints and have not gotten any response.
