SixQuestions Glitch Causes Melee

| | Comments (0)

Perhaps beta-testing should've lasted a little longer...or perhaps they should've found more trustworthy beta-testers! Whatever the case, SixQuestions found itself in a bit of a jam last Thursday and Friday when "a group of users" took advantage of a glitch in the new software to earn and spend billions of points -- and once those points were introduced into the system as part of the hourly winnings pot, they were distributed to other users and...wow! Sorta like counterfeiting money, users thought they'd won legitimate points, and then SQ had to find a way to take all those points away, since as we know, points at SQ can be cashed in for real prizes. Could have been a VERY expensive software glitch.

They assure us that the site is now faster and more secure than ever and that we'll see the return of onsite games by the end of the week.
