Giving2Gether.org Program Review

| | Comments (1)

Found a cool new rebate site and wanted to review it here. Rebates are DOUBLED through December 2005 and they're pretty high to begin with. You can choose to donate a percentage (1-100%) of your rebate to a non-profit or you can keep it all for yourself! And if you're with a non-profit yourself, you can sign the organization up as an option for folks to donate to (every public K-12 school is already in their database). $10 minimum payout, paid quarterly. See the full review below!

Minimum to Redeem: $10 per quarter
Prizes Offered: Rebate check only
Full Prize List: N/A (rebate)

Notes:
1) Members can earmark a percentage (from 1 to 100%) of their rebate earnings for one of various charities. Besides schools, there aren't a lot up at the moment but hopefully as more charities become aware of this program, they will sign up. You can change charities and percentages at any time.
2) The site pays one quarter in arrears to be certain that there are no problems with "chargebacks" (returns, credit card stop payments, that sort of thing). If the quarter ends in March, you would be paid in July.
3) Members can create "wish lists" they can share with friends, and "malls" of their own favorite stores. There is also an onsite member discussion forum.
4) There is an online record of your giving in the Member's Account Manager section of the site, if you want to track it for tax purposes.
5) Site founder Vince Martin says, "In summary, we operate our site on a simple concept: Treat people right (i.e. fairly and honestly) and offer them a great service. Above all, deliver on what you promise. Do this and everyone wins."

Giving2Gether.org has moved and become part of BigCrumbs.com, some complicated explanation of how shopping rebates go into a pool and all members share. I don't think so, thanks!
