Honest, Conscientious Paid Email
I just want to tell y'all about the experience I had with the webmaster of EmailsforAds, a paid email program.
Yesterday, I noticed that my earnings at the program had jumped by about $4. I couldn't see a way to find out where it came from, and just figured that one of the people I referred had maybe upgraded to a paid membership or something. I decided, well hey, I'm gonna cash this puppy out! I did, and was paid almost instantly. Was really impressed!
Then I got an email from the operator, who said that the earnings were due to an error - she'd accidentally made an ad a $20 ad and not a 20 second ad and someone in my downline had clicked on it. She said that I could keep the money, though, because it was her error.
I felt terrible about it, though -- when I thought about it, I remembered reading an email she'd sent out about the error. I get so many mails from so many programs, though, I didn't realize that was HER program and put 2 and 2 together. I didn't want to profit from somebody's mistake, so I refunded the paypal and asked her to reset my account to what it should have been.
I thought that was the end of it until I got my email this morning. She insisted that I keep the money and resent it to me! This is part of the text of her message:
"I could have fixed everyone's account, but I'm not sure how long it would take me. I didn't feel it would be fair or nice of me to make everyone wait for a payment while I fixed the error, especially since it was my fault. I also don't think it would be fair to you if I fixed your account and not everyone else's. It was my mistake and I'll pay for it. ;-) Maybe this will teach me to not be in such a hurry to get things done from now on... lol"
She won't let me refund the money, so I thought the least I could do was to tell my site visitors what a cool webmaster she is and that if you want to find a paid email program that is run by an honest and conscientious person, EmailsforAds is the one for you. Please consider joining (under me, if you don't mind!) if you haven't already!

I believe I *did* join under you.. and I'm sorry if my clicking on the $20 link is what threw you out of whack. I was going to keep my mouth shut, but I remembered reading a post somewhere where a former GPT member got his account deleted for not saying anything. I emailed her about it and she credited me the points it should have been. Oh well - it was nice to see my earnings skyrocket for a half hour! ;)

I want to commend you on your honesty! It must've been tempting to cash out immediately! And apparently, according to AloraLyric, quite a few people did. They had to know it was an error, shame on them. But don't apologize for "throwing me out of whack," I was just curious and hey, she did let me keep my % of it! I think that was way cool of her to do... and again, way cool of you to point out her error. Honesty usually is the best policy, but that temptation's always there, huh? ;)
